^^ I agree. Much cheaper option. Just upgraded mine last night to 250gb...only $70 for the drive. Only took an hr or so. Most time came from backing up and restoring data.

Agreed. I have the 320GB PS3 now. Costs 90 bucks. Super easy and you dont void your warranty doing it.

if you must trade it out, at least sell it on ebay or craigslist. Gamestop will give you crap compared to what these go for online. It's got the fully hardware supported PS3 backwards compatibility, so people will always want one of the original models.

I still don't get why someone would want to trade in a 20 or 60 gig (let alone a 40 or 80) for a PS3 with a bigger Hard Drive. Sony has it on their site, in the manual, and it's on countless sites Step by Step instructions on how to upgrade your Hard Drive (which does not void the warranty).

You trade the system in for a couple hundred just to spend a couple hundred more to get another PS3 with a bigger HD. POINTLESS and a HUGE waste of money.

Many guys here have gotten bigger HDs for $75-100 bucks. And easily installed it.

Only reason I would trade is if I didn't have one of the fully BC systems and was trading "up" for that. Otherwise I'd just upgrade the HDD.

The 20GBs' have the PS2 chip built in,they play SACDs,and have extra usb and firewire ports.
Hold on to it and swap out the HDD.
