Xbox live Spring Update 2009 maybe?

I just got a update today but I haven't heard what its about, is this the spring update???

"A few minutes ago, the team released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. This update addresses interruption issues that some Xbox LIVE users may have experienced when playing a limited number of Xbox 360 games.

There are no other changes or enhancements in this update…in other words no new features. This update will be rolled out to all Xbox LIVE members around the world over the space of a few hours, so you may not get prompted for the update immediately.

I don't think there will be any "spring update". I believe they stopped their 2 big updates a year thing in favor of a 1 really big update a year. like last year, there wasn't any spring update, then in the fall we got the new NXE.

I don't think there will be any "spring update". I believe they stopped their 2 big updates a year thing in favor of a 1 really big update a year. like last year, there wasn't any spring update, then in the fall we got the new NXE.

It's more like a lot of mini-updates throughout the year. The NXE was setup to allow them to plug new things in. You remember the NXE came in the fall, then later they added Xbox Live Primetime.

which was simply delayed from the original NXE launch. It's not even out yet. MS mentioned that NXE would allow them to do more frequent updates, rather than the huge seasonal ones, but it's all been under the hood type stuff for boring things like Live stability. At least the big updates came with new features.
