PS3 Keypad
Has anyone picked one up yet? I can't believe they are charging so much for this, but wondering if they have been ok.Tags: None -

Re: PS3 Keypad
yeah that's not the official PS3 one, but I have that one as well as the official PS3 one. The official one is nicer because it is bluetooth so it doesn't take up a USB port, plus it has the number keys separate from the letter keys, the one in this link you have to hold a function key down for the numbers. That one is definitely a good keypad for a cheaper price, but I like the official keypad better. Although $50 is definitely too much for the keypad. I got it for a gift, otherwise I would still be using the cheaper one.LOL, here is one for $20 but it looks pretty shady.

The official one looks better too as that other one looks like its gaudy. Is it true that the keypad doesn't work off of the battery of the controller, but off of its own battery.yeah that's not the official PS3 one, but I have that one as well as the official PS3 one. It has a built in rechargable battery, so yeah you gotta plug it into the wall to recharge. I've only had to charge mine twice since Christmas and I use it a lot.

You're right, it does just recharge with a USB doesn't it. I must have been thinking of my old keypad that I had to charge from a wall outlet.

Re: PS3 Keypad
I bought the keypad yesterday and after some use, I am not feeling this keypad. It just doesn't feel as comfy as I had hoped. So I found a Logitech wireless Keyboard EX100 for $15 on sale at Target today. I think I am going with that.
I found the keys too close to each other and were not as high as the MS Chatpad. Then having to shift your hands to the top of the controller to type the keys. I know I am being too negative here, but I wonder who designed this darn thing and then approved it. LOL!Comment
