Did he ever say he was being forced to do it? No. All his point was is that people could be doing those things for real if they wanted to, especially talking the to the ai thing. Talking to real people is a lot more interesting than talking to artificial intelligence. The tech is still amazing though. If people enjoy that kind of stuff that's fine though nobody is forcing the people who don't to.

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

it would be cool if Kojima released the "Raiden" exclusively on 360 and the "Big Boss" MGS: Rising exclusively on PS3http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

 Re: Microsoft E3 Discussion

Talk about flawed logic. Yes a person may be able to play any sport for real if they want but last time I checked an ordinary person can not just play in the NBA, PGA ,NFL, NHL or any other pro sports league anytime they want to. Last time I checked there are no basketball games about playing at the Y. Sports games allow people to do things that they are not capability of doing in real life. I may be able to go play a Sunday round of golf ( I do Golf by the way) but I am not going to win the US open anytime soon.

Comparing it to something like talking to another human being which anybody can do is not the same at all.Last edited by mgoblue678; 06-01-2009, 02:59 PM.My Teams

 Re: Microsoft E3 Discussion

I just read through every page and you guys have me very optimistic about what's on the horizon for Microsoft. When I got rid of my PS3 and got back on the 360 it was a decision that I never regretted. It looks like it's going to remain that way. I don't care about Blu Ray and none of their exclusives are worth owning the system for me. However, I'll admit that I can't wait to play the new Metal Gear game. I still have fond memories of playing Metal Gear Solid on PS1 as a kid.

I have to find out what the Fable dude (Peter Whatever) showed. From reading the posts it sounded like you all collectively busted a nut at the same time. It also sounded like Modern Warfare 2, Splinter Cell, and Alan Wake will be worth my time. Alan Wake has been in production for like 35 years so I hope it's great by the time it drops in 2010.Comment

 Re: Microsoft E3 Discussion

I'd hope so, but the 120 gig HDD costs $50 less than the Arcade. It's just a HDD that would cost $60 if it weren't proprietary. This is the 360's Wii killer, and it'll come in add-on form. Perhaps by the time it releases, they could have a bundle out for it that is still priced less than the Wii.Comment

You basically talk to a kid through the game, can hand him stuff through the camera, can go play with him, see yourself in reflections (in game), etc. The kid talks to you like anyone would, and you can have a conversation back.

Try to see it somewhere, it was just..insane.Comment

 Re: Microsoft E3 Discussion

I still can't get over what Molyneux showed. Only that crazy bastard could come up with something like that. No doubt it's going to be on a science magazine.

His demo included a real person named Clair interacting with a virtual boy named Milo. The boy recognizes the person talking to him, he responds with different emotions based on your facial expressions. Clair can draw a picture on a piece of paper, show it to the screen, and Milo will recognize the shape and color of the drawing and react to it. He also takes the piece of paper into the virtual world. Players can interact with the virtual world by doing things like putting on goggles and looking into a pool of water.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
