i have the 40gig and i think i have heard it's the only model that can do it but using the fan check where it just turns your fans on full blast for like 15-30 seconds cleans out the inside pretty good(do it about once a month), plus i dust the outside like twice a week

I have read that this could be very harmful to your console. To the point where it kills it after the fan test is done.

I have one of those ionizer air purifiers right next to my ps3 and 360. Helps keep the dust down all around my gadgets in that area.

I dust mine 5 times a week and i think its clean . Until i dropped something on the floor near my tv stand , and was looking for it with a flashlight and just happen to put the flashlight on the PS3 and it was filthy . So you think the dust is coming off your PS3 when it is only smearing on the PS3 . So for all the guys with ocd i recommend never bringing a flash light around the PS3.
