I'm curious about this as well. My wired headsets keep dying on me for some reason.

They are decent. I don't really like them because of how you sound with the headset on. I absolutely hate when my friend uses it because I can never understand what he's saying.. Sounds like he's in a hole or something. I'm also not a big fan of no mute button.

Are there other headsets available in this price range or is this all there is?

I got one of these a while back and hadn't had time to use it but finally did this past weekend, it works great IMO, my friends said they could hear me quite well. I heard that the earlier ones were terrible but I guess MS must have did some tweaks or something because mine worked beautifully. One thing I was worried about was could I hear others ok because sometimes devices like this don't go loud enough for me but that was not an issue. I'd highly recommend one.

I have one and I like it. I've had it since December and its been working fine unlike the wired ones which always broke for me. Charge lasts pretty long as well as I've never had to recharge while gaming if I made sure it was fully charged before I started playing.

I'm also not a big fan of no mute button.

The center button mutes the mic.

I love that Headset, My dog loves to chew on them which is unfortunate because I have had to replace it a few times. Basically once you go with that Mic, Everything else sucks in comparison.

I got a couple of friends that I play with frequently that swear by them. There voice is clear, only complaint being that they had to recharge them quite often.

I just leave mine charging all the time and it's always good to go when I'm ready...

My buddy uses it and he sounds loud and clear.
