you can get them for $60 off ebay.

They're only 120 GB Western Digital drives that have a specific firmware and proprietary enclosure. People have been making these themselves for a while now, and MS won't even do anything about it. I have no idea why someone would pay MS's joke of a retail price.

So sir, I love the PS3 and have stuck with it for a solid 1 1/2 and I'm not looking back. With my new son and my famliy, one system is enough. Two system makes no sense for me, just not going to waste the money anymore, just me I become wise after all the system swapping I have done in the past.

The drop date is rumored to be Aug. 30.

The announcement could come early next week at Gamescom.

Regardless, Microsoft loves when games push out DLC, and they give you the ability to burn games to your hard drive, and I assume they want the Games on demand service to eventually become peoples primary way of purchasing games. With that said they need to have bigger storage options to be resonably priced to help these services grow.

Have you been happy with your Ps3??? I'm trying to decide on a console and lately leaning towards a Ps3 now because of the possible price drop. I really think if the Ps3 is 299.99 that is the way to go, even after the elite drop.

after doing more research on the ELITE so basically it has double the gb's from 60 to 120 and it comes with a HDMI cable(amazon got them for 10 bucks)

it aint that big of a difference..... but it is black which i do kinda want

does anyone know if they still make the jasper addition in the ELITES?
