Anyone know how much a 360 is worth at gamestop for trade in?

What model? I think you get around 80 for the system, then whatever they give you for the hard drive? Maybe a total of 120 at most (assuming you're talking an Elite).

you aren't going to get crap for a used 360 at this point in the game, especially with the RROD issue and the ability to get an Acrade for $200 brand new.

The best bet is go through ebay or craigslist and see what you can get, especially if you throw in some accessories and games. I sold a 20 gig with some games and accessories in 2008 for almost $300, but I don't know what you'd get now.

On ebay, he can get about $110-$120. I've seen Pro's going for $180-$200 on there.

Used 360 is $70 for console only. Of course more when you throw in the HD and controllers. I'm trading in the refurb I got from Microsoft last year.

Yeah, just go the ebay route. Gamestop is something else with their trade-in prices imo.

With the Elite price drop at the end of the month and the Ps3 price drop that just came about, What kind of package would the elite need to compete with the Ps3 at this point. Lets face it. The next couple of months will most likely be huge for the Ps3. As others had said, The elite lacks a big componet of blu ray and wireless. Those are the only thing I can think of that will make people go with the Ps3...What would sway to to go Elite vs Ps3...Any opinions??

I think if MS had the Arcade @ $149 and the Elite $249, then it would place a serious dent in the PS3's price drop. I don't know if MS can really drop both SKU's by $50 unless a redesign came for the 360 which would not be ample time right now to stop Sony. The September NPD numbers should be interesting when they release in October since the ones for August will only consist for 2 weeks worth of sales.
