Re: XBox 360 Elite price drop
At this point, Microsoft is likely setting up the 360 price for the launch of Natal. They could probably also offer a nice price drop, but they want to sit at $299 so they can bundle Natal in without a price hike. In the meantime, they can include value increasing incentives to the Elite like a larger HDD, free game(s), extra controller, etc. The holiday and early 2010 releases will carry them to the release of Natal in 2010.Comment

Re: XBox 360 Elite price drop
I said the exact same thing before the Wii came out too, I've learned not to trust my instincts anymore LOL.
It got a ton of hype (Jimmy Fallon show etc.) after E3. If its marketed well (like the Wii) it will be very successful- MS has done an excellent job marketing the 360 this gen so I'm sure they'll spend whatever is needed on the Natal front.
Who knows what changes will happen to the economy/gaming landscape between now and then? It's really up in the air- IMHO it (and any other non-Wii motion technology) will either be a phenomenal success or an epic failure.

Re: XBox 360 Elite price drop
Yeah, Natal has a lot of buzz going amongst the mainstream. It was the talk of E3 and after. It was everywhere from local and national TV, late night TV, Good Morning America, local and national newspapers, ect. People were eating it up, which you saw first hand on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America. I was surprised, sure the tech is nice, but what was being shown didn't really look that fun, but the hosts and audiences were going crazy. The launch is going to be huge, as Microsoft continues to reiterate that they see Natal as a platform launch like with the original Xbox and 360.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
