I wonder where 54.2% puts the 360 among other electical appliances etc?

It's kinda bad that if you buy one it's a better than half a chance it will be faulty. Can't say I would think many other electical products could do that and still thrive like the 360 has done but i guess it shows how there is relatively little competition in the console market when compared to other products.

well he likely was referring to me, but I just ignored it. The original comment I made that apparently steered this thread off the tracks was a joke anyways, as I assumed people would understand the context it was in.

It's not like a microwave. With the 360 there's the games and controllers that for most will add up to more that the cost of the console. So its worth replacing to protect your "investment." Also, a lot of gamers (like me) are hooked on xbox live.

I mostly meant what I said to be a joke. People were saying the same things you are about the ps2 when it dominated with DDE issues. MS replaces 360's for free, so most people probably go through them to get a replacement instead of buying a brand new one at $200 or $300. The ones that do buy again probably aren't going to amount in the millions.

Besides, you can look at software sold to judge how inflated the numbers are. A product with inflated numbers due to millions of broken consoles shouldn't have a large gap in software sales over the competition. Every month, 3rd party games sell better on the 360 than ps3.

I'm with ya. I wasn't upset either, just trying to clear up my point and make it not seem like I was starting a console war which I think are ridiculous. It is hard to sense sarcasm through posts though. You got to add *laughing while typing this*.

I just hate being nervous about playing the 360 right now. These numbers and past experience show I have a reason to be. There are some good exclusives coming up this holiday season.

And PK... My Giants has about the same chance as failing as the 360 right now. 50/50 =(

LOL! Funny stuff And yes, sarcasm is hard to detect through posting. Especially on here. OS used to be good about it, but uh...you see where it got me a few posts up
