Fuzzy ps3 slim.

I just got a ps3 slim and when i started the system i got a pink snowball or fuzzy screen for a second or two . Is that a problem or just hdmi handshake problem? Thanks guys.

This is the issue that I've had as of late, it is very strange. When my system starts up and not all the time, I get this crackling noise and after a few seconds the system loads up.

I have the PS3 60gb hooked up to my Onkyo receiver via HDMI. I have tired various HDMI ports on the receiver and have a few other components hooked up via HDMI. None of those items are experiencing an issue. I'm not too sure if this has turned into some kind of handshaking issue or not. When I click on the HDMI input button, the darn thing is working fine again. I have also unplugged the HDMI cable from the back of the PS3 and back of the receiver and re-plugged it in. Then its working fine.

If you see in the pic below, not the best, but everything is fuzzy including how the lettering is messed up.

I thought they were actually releasing a Fuzzy PS3, like it was actually covered in fuzz. Like these guitars:



I totally would have bought one. It's a shame. This thread title is misleading. But in all seriousness, that sucks man.

I've seen this before, I think it's an HDMI handshake problem, like you say. But I am most definitely not an authority on these things.

Got it on the older model but a brief fuzzy green screen and a loud crackle .then it went to the psn screen.
