PS3 Black Friday bundle QUESTION
Hey guys, remember that Best Buy deal for the PS3 Slim? It included R&C A Crack in Time, LBP GOTY Edition, a controller, and an HDMI cable. That was all for $300, right? Because I'm looking at my receipt again, and the guy charged me for my extra controller and HDMI cable.

Re: PS3 Black Friday bundle QUESTION
Strange that they bundled (literally, tied down) a controller and cable along with the system, then. That's really bizarre.
I've left the system unopened while I went back to school for three more weeks, and just now opened the system since my dad got the family a Blu-ray player. But then I went whoa and asked why he would get such a thing when I have an unopened PS3 sitting right in the other room. So now it's open and in use, though I haven't yet opened the controller and HDMI cable.
Anyway, this was the first time I looked at the receipt.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PS3 Black Friday bundle QUESTION
There was both types of bundles. I saw that bundle you bought and asked what was the price of it b/c I knew what the ad had said. I was like "maybe they threw in an extra controller and cable too for that price." But of course the guy said it was like a 100 bucks more so I set it down like it was a box of bricks.Hey guys, remember that Best Buy deal for the PS3 Slim? Re: PS3 Black Friday bundle QUESTION
You could have pulled the cables and other controller off. BB just adds that stuff to their in store made bundles just to push and sale accessories. Plus they figure since you only get composite cables with the console, that you'd like to get an HDMI to get 1080p. And sometimes you'll need a 2nd controller to play with a friend.
It's not free, just thrown in your face and wrapped around the console to save you the trip of trying to grab one off the shelf. They are the only store that does that.
Either way, it's customer choice if they'd like to buy it or leave it.Comment

Oh no doubt, I didn't say it was my choice or wasn't... I just thought that was a part of the deal. I honestly thought there wasn't a controller in the box, and that was the controller on the outside for the PS3 slim. You could have pulled the cables and other controller off. Re: PS3 Black Friday bundle QUESTION
I didn't even look at the price thing and just gave them my debit card. Honestly, it was too loud in there to hear anything anyway.
Here's basically what happened: I went there with five other friends, none of which had Reward Zone accounts. So we all grouped together at the same register, and with every person that bought something I had to give the guy my phone number for my account. It sort of became a tedious, long-lasting thing so I was really just not paying attention to anything else (price, what he rung up, etc.). I guess I don't know how I didn't see it.
EDIT: Wait, now I remember what happened. Three of my friends that already got their stuff decided to walk out in the rain to a Gamestop in the same shopping center, because someone believed it was already open. But my friend called me and said that they wouldn't open for another 15 minutes and was asking if I could get them with my car, because it was raining. It was during the phone conversation that my stuff was being rung up, so I was rather preoccupied. That's what happened.Last edited by Blzer; 12-31-2009, 02:20 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
