Re: Whats the best way to charge a ps3 controller

Lithium-ion do better on small charges than they do large. The only problem you may run into is the battery indicator losing accuracy over time, but an occasional full discharge will help that and it's not really as big an issue with controller than it is with a PC.

NiMH batteries don't have the severe memory problems that Ni-Cad batteries have, but they still lose capacity due to crystallization. NiMH do better on less frequent charges and with a full discharge every couple of months to recondition the battery.

NiMH batteries will start to deteriorate (lose capacity, higher internal resistance and self discharge) pretty fast after about 300 charge cycles. Li-ion are good well beyond 1000 charge cycles, it's age, heat and deep discharges that deteriorate li-ion batteries not number of charge cycles.Comment

Re: Whats the best way to charge a ps3 controller

I lay mine on the floor near back wall. Then from about 15 yards away I run like hell towards them....

I also just use the PS3 or PC to charge them. I wait till they are totally dead then charge away.Joshua:

That's bad on your back, you should put them higher on the wall so you're not crouching down so far during your charge. Gives you better form as well.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Whats the best way to charge a ps3 controller

I have four and two are always dead. So I use one of the two and charge the other two by placing them inside the entertainment center with the usb cable or if are dead then I use a 10' USB extension cable. $4 on buy.com http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...ingid=32371763

You can get a 10' cable even cheaper at monoprice.com:

$1.63 and nice quality. I picked up 2 of these plus the micro-usb for my headset and had them shipped for around $7.Comment
