Any idea how to fix this PS3 issue?

PS3 worked for the longest time, but when I was packing, I forgot that I left it in my trunk in the very cold. Since then, I have not gotten to work. Now, I do not get the yellow light. It turns on as if nothing is wrong, but only the green light is on, and I can not get any input on the TV.

It isn't a TV issue, I've tried WYR and HDMI on different TV"s, and the TV it always worked on has a working 360.

It also does NOT spit out the CD which is in it. Any ideas?

Try "resetting" the machine by holding the power button(on front) until you hear it do the three beeps.
Maybe it just needs to reset the signal(this does it)
    Worth a shot.

Tell me more about the eject issue. Does it make a machine gun sound when trying to eject? Does it recognize the disc that is in there at all? I have the machine gun sound issue (removed the disc myself by opening up the PS3), and there was an alignment issue in mine that is really tough to breach that section of the system. I have to send mine in for repair, you may have to do the same.

Did you happen to take the system direct from the cold trunk and try to power it up? Anyway, try system restore mode:

With system in standby (red), press power until one beep, then two beeps, connect controller with a USB cable and hit the PS button.

If a screen comes up, it's likely firmware corruption. First thing I would try is to download the latest update, put it on a USB stick and try option 6 (system update). Other than the first two, you will likely lose some or all data with the other options.

If that doesn't work, you likely will have to send it to sony.

Good news! Now it decided to work and everything is A-ok. It was weird, this time I turned it on not by the button on the machine, but through the controller. And it booted right up as if nothing was wrong. Very WTF, but everything appears to be good.

                Huzzah!

Whenever you take electronics in from the outside when it's cold, you need to give them time before turning them on. It's the same as if you put a glass in the freezer, and when you take it out, it frosts up. If you had condensation on the circuits it could've been causing trouble. Seems like it's working, but lucky it didn't short anything out.

                    True.
I've got a Sony HD Reciever that I have all of my components and consoles plugged into then into the monitor.
The top of it is a vented cover...full glass of water right onto the circuits....I thought it was done.
Luckily...a lot of these have an automatic shutdown when they detect too much moisture for the circuit boards.
Opened it...dried it.....let it dry more and it eventually worked again.
Haven't had any problem since and no more water glasses resting on top of it!

Holy ****! Now that's an endorsement! Stuff really is made well these days.

I used to sell music equipment, and had a great story like that. I knew a guy who used Peavey amps, and setup for an outdoor show. He left and a storm came outta nowhere and soaked his stuff. He poured gallons of water out of the back of the amps, let them dry for an hour and played his gig that night. I sold a lot of amps with that one......

water doesn't ruin circuitry, pumping electricity through it when wet does. if you let something dry out completely, it'll be fine.
