i may be getting another ps3 to replace the one that got stolen. i need a blu ray player that has wifi networking (mainly for netflix).

How is Netflix on PS3? I haven't heard a thing about it yet.

lol. ur late. its been there for months now. u sign up then u get a disc in the mail to be able to access netflix on the ps3. pop the disc in and your able to watch the streaming movie of your choice.

I know it's been out for a while, but I just wanted to see how it worked and if people found it useful.

Works just as well as on the 360. I think I might favor the PS3 Netflix menu compared to the 360. Just seems more organized and looks better to the eye. At least for me. Only downside is the disc.

Depends. All stream at 480p but some shows I believe stream up to 1080p. Depends if they are HD or not.

I am a bit aggravated with Sony.......Yesterday I found a slim 120gb at Target which I ended up picking up, it was the last one. I deleted a bunch of files off of the 320gb on the fat PS3 to trim down the backup process to 2.5 hours, which wasn't bad. The problem is that I lost a load of saves during the backup process....mainly my Heavy Rain and Army of Two: 40 saves. It is aggravating since I was almost done with AO2 and Heavy Rain was completed but I was trophy hunting.

One thing that I did hate about this whole process is taking the 320gb to place in the slim. It took me a good 30 minutes to figure out that even though that the HDD was formatted with Sony standard, it would not read it, but you need to have the latest FW on a USB stick as you start up the system. Once it reads the FW, it installs it to the new HDD from the USB. What a pain in the *** process this has been and I wish I would have just found a 250gb to do the Utility Tool.

Over the next few days I have to download all my DLC content again to the new system. This is going to be a very painful process since it takes forever at times to d/l from PSN. Other wise, I really like the slim so far and I am surprised as to how much smaller this thing is and hopefully there will be no more PS3 problems with this one. Good thing is that I sold off the Fat last night on ebay and pretty much paid for this one.

I had to do the same thing, just download everything at one before you know your going to bed, let it run all night and it will be done by the time you wake up.

just make sure you set you PS3 to turn off after downloads, and you will be good.

Well, good news and bad news for those of you looking for them:
Good news- Amazon.uk has them in stock.
Bad news- You can't get them shipped to a US address. So, unless you know of another work around or you know someone who lives outside of the US your SOL there.

Also, Newegg has an ETA of 3/17 but, no garantee so, you better jump on it ASAP.

FYI, there are no ps3's available at that website. All are temp out of stock. I can't find one of these to save my life right now.
