    Anyone had this PS3 issue?

    Whenever I quit out of a game from the XMB, the console quits out and then goes to a black screen with a bunch of sparkles on it. Machine doesn't respond to the controller, but I can eject/load discs.

    Any ideas?

      Is it hooked up HDMI? Could be a bad cable.

      New to this area so forgive me if this has been asked. Hooked up a PS3, Xbox and HD cable box to a Denon AVR888. The PS3 and Xbox are hooked up with good quality 6' HDMI cables to the Denon. The HD box with a component cable. From the Denon to a 58" Samsung plasma. Everything works fine...

          I had a similar issue, except the sparkled screen would only show up for a split second, and no further problem would resume. Strange how yours does that though...

              Mine does something similar but I dont get the sparkles just a blank screen but its only when I quit out of NHL 10.
