Ok I hate being this way but hard facts. Microsoft now has a 250GB Hard drive for............$129.99 lol, i mean really ? you can get a 1 1/2 terrabyte for 89.99. I mean their accessories are so overpriced its ridicolus. I have PS3 slim no problems and can upgrade for half the price. XBOX has a lot of good things dont get me wrong but man they just dont give ya a break lol

I want to upgrade my HDD for the 360 but not at those prices. I wish they were as easy going as Sony in that department where I can simply use my external HD.

You seem to be confusing hard drives here. Both the 360 and ps3 use the smaller 2.5" notebook SATA drives, and last time I checked, the largest drive that actually physically fits inside the ps3 right now is 640 GB's, for around $100.

Sure, MS has gouged on pricing, but they only used the same old formula of making up hardware losses with pricey proprietary accessories.

First off, you can't get a 1.5TB 2.5" HDD for any price.

That said, you could still get 500GB for $130.

well you can at least use flash drives after the spring update. The 16gb limit is a little ridiculous, although i understand why they'd do it.

Your right i was looking at desktop hard drives, which by the way are on sale at dell.com lol. Listen i know its the way it is but after the map pack from MW2 being overpriced now this hard drive it just makes me feel like a "mark" if i buy them.

MS didn't set the MW2 map pack price, it'll be $15 on PSN as well. That's Infinity Ward.

They do have to make up for the lose they took on everyone's 360 breaking 1+ times.

Bad pricing, but what else are you going to do? I haven't bought anything from Live because of the prices, most of the TV shows should be free, etc.

I've griped about RROD's and high priced HDD's too, but for the practice of pricey proprietary peripherals, MS didn't start it. It has long been a way to make more money from consoles, and Sony, Nintendo, and Sega all did it. MS basically copied and built their console philosophy around that this gen.

Nintendo and Sony launched a year later, and having more experience in the console hardware biz, made fresh decisions like internal wifi and non-proprietary storage methods. None of this was standard when MS launched the 360, but they have certainly lagged on making some key changes to catch up.
