PS3 choices
For my birthday, my parents have told me that I was going to get a PS3. I was wondering from other members if the higher memory is worth it? I don't think I would be using it to store lots of music and pictures, so I am just trying to decide if I tell them the lower memory 120 over the 250, and possibly get an extra game with the savings. Thoughts from users who have PS3? ThanksTags: None -

120 GB is fine. I had an 80 GB ps3, and didn't even get it halfway filled up with movies, PSN games, and the game files that get installed. For my birthday, my parents have told me that I was going to get a PS3. Re: PS3 choices
i say get the 250 if you can.
you may not need all of it now, but as time goes by and you play more games those gigabytes go by fast. first of all, there are quite a few games now that includes automatic installation to your hard drive (MGS 4, MLB: THE SHOW, GTA 4 etc...) and some of them are as big as 4 or 5 gigs! then you might play a game that has the option to play any song you want off of your hard drive (example, MLB: THE SHOW, STREET FIGHTER 4) so you will want to add more and more music to your hard drive. trust me it adds up. lol then there is DLC for games. like if you get ROCK BAND 2 there is always new music to get.
then comes the playstation store. i have bought a few things from there but not much. i mostly download demos and videos. i have bought a couple of games but you may find more things you are interested in. on top of that, if you are like me, i like to keep a few demos just to play some times or for when my friends or company comes over to try out. you may want to keep a few yourself and demos are usually a gig or two. then there is the video section of the store to rent or buy movies. if i had alot of space i would have actually bought a couple of movies. hell, if i had space i would rent quite a few because Netflix dont really carry new releases like that. so if your into movies you might dibble dabble in that section as well.
now if you never plan to go online with your system to access the playstion store or if you dont even play games like that and you will just own 1 or 2 games then you can disregard what i said. but if u do plan to do at least a little bit of what i mentioned, then think about getting the 250 if its possible for you to get.
and most importantly, you will never have to worry about upgrading your hard drive. you will have more than enough."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.yea but will they take psn cards

Re: PS3 choices
Right now I've used 106GB of my HDD (250GB) and I wouldn't really say I have a lot of stuff. Maybe 15 PSN games, 1 movie, 20 songs or so - the rest is mandatory game installs. Like Rawdeal said, it goes faster than you might think.
That said, any 2.5-inch SATA will work with PS3, and you can get a 500GB one for like $65, so, it's not exactly worth it to buy the 250GB PS3 considering that; i.e., you can get a 500GB PS3 for basically the same price as a 250GB.
Cheers.Comment

Re: PS3 choices
I've had an 80gb hard drive for 20 months and still have 20gb left. I've deleted some stuff, but I think 80gb is a good amount. I have 16 demos and 3 full games installed, along with 20 or so songs.Comment

Re: PS3 choices
I've never heard about this issue being tied into a new HDD. Just make sure that you get one that's 5400rpm (optimal for PS3) and not 7200rpm, maybe that's the difference.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
