Best Console for a sports gamer?

I have both the "fat" PS3 and the old white 360. I have had both my ups and downs with each console Such as the PS3's fan overheating or my xbox's 2 red rings of death so i figure that i will enter gamestop with two old consoles and leave with one new. Sports gaming is the only stuff that i do pretty much so i was wondering which console i should ultimately come out with in the end. While the PS3 seems the obvious choice (considering it has the show plus every other sports game the 360 has) i am pretty sure that the PS3 is not backwards compatiable (in case i want to load up 2k5) so in the end what should i do and why?

Backwards compatibility won't be an issue, whether you go with the PS3 or 360. I prefer playing my sports games on the PS3. I've gamed on both, and something about the PS3 controller I like with sports games.

Id go with the PS3 just for the Show. I dont think the other sports games are really much better with the XBOX anyway.

The Show. I mean, the PS3. I have both and then dove head first towards my PS3 with MLB The Show and a great Madden Online Franchise that I'm in.

Plus, God of War, inFamous, etc.

I have both systems and find the games usually play / look better on the 360.

Other than that, aren't they pretty much the same? Does the 360 have some exclusive sports game I'm not remembering?

If you are a franchise/offline sports gamer that wants working franchises PS2 is your answer.

I got $127 in Gamestop credit. I will trade you straight up and I also got 9 Blu-Ray's that I will include. X-Men Last Stand, Across the Universe, The Omen, Black Hawk Down, American Psycho, S.W.A.T., I am Legend, Superbad, and Blade Runner Collector's Edition.

agreed about this, but I very content with 2k10 for the 360, I think tls that much better on the 360 then the it was on the PS3.

The show disappointed me this year.

if you play 2k5 I think the rosters are easier to get on the PS3 because of the rosters using only a franchise. Otherwise I like the 360 better except the PS3 has free online and the Show
