Yeah, a disappointing show overall for MS, especially if you have no interest for motion stuff. They didn't show anything new at all besides natal stuff really, ESPN integration has hilarious small print, and the slim is just a smaller xbox without the price drop excitement of the ps3 slim debut.

While I want a slim 360, I just recently did the manual license transfer like a month ago. I'll be pissed off if I get a slim and can't do a transfer for a whole year.

There may not be alot of difference between the current xbox and new xbox.. But the wireless "N" built in is a big deal to me... Also the larger hard drive. I personally love the look of the 360 "slim" but I'm sure it's not for everyone

The wife wants me to get one when Kinect comes out, but I'm not sure. I know the way I am, I'll end up deciding that I don't need two consoles, and one will be sold, and I'll lose money.

I normally break even on my systems, but there's no guarantee of that happening. Hopefully Sony does something today that will pull her in just as much, lol.

But... I ... Do... Miss... My.... 360.... lol

I have a feeling I could sell my old 360 to someone and get a new 360... I'd just have to find that patsy that wants my old 360, hah.

I just think it would have been better with a price drop, but they're likely just going to throw kinect into a bundle for the same price this holiday and call that a price drop.

I also saw that they're going to bring out an arcade model of the slim, but without wifi. That's the MS I know and love. The console is 4 years old, they could really just go with a $199 non gimped "arcade" version and a $299 kinect bundle.

How big is the actual "kinect" compared to the slim 360 ???

Is there a pic of them side my side ???

I'm wondering is this kinect thing would be to tall if it were to sit in front of tv ??

don't get me wrong, the new 360 slim is very awesome looking! i literally just bought an elite last week and definitley had thoughts of selling my system and turning right around and buying this sexy new slim model! then i slapped myself and wondered what this new system has that i am currently lacking..?

sure we all know M$ wants to make their dollar by nickel and diming the consumer to death (rechargable battery kit, wifi adapter, etc.), but to go out and buy a new 360 just for the sake of it being a new design? unless i am missing the big picture and totally nieve to the gaming community around me, am i missing anything by sticking with my currently purchased elite?

as i said before, don't get me wrong, i love me some 360! in fact, i guess you could call me a 360 fan boy. i guess i am just too old to keep up!

but hooray to whoever is getting the new model! part of me is slightly jealous!

Why can't you return it ac? Most stores have a 14-30 day return policy.

At the least, go back and get the price difference.

I have an elite too and while the new one looks cool, I'm not going to get the new one since I have no problem with my 360 overheating and I have plenty of hard drive space.

i bought my elite from gamestop and still have the receipt. i thought they have some strict rules for returning opened merchandise.

They should still price match the drop. Go speak to a manager.

If they don't, screw them and avoid the store. If I could tell everyone to avoid gamestop I would. Only benefits those with friends who work there doing shady **** on the low.

I'm getting the new 360 because I have the 20GB hard drive on mine. I would rather by a new 360 than spend $150 on the 250GB hard drive.
