Biggest thing for me is definitely the ESPN stuff. All it really is, is ESPN 3 on your 360, but my ISP doesn't have ESPN 3 supported, so it will be nice to have it for all of the college stuff.

same here, That 45nm chip is what I like to see, very low power consumption. Excellent.

At times the conference seemed very artificial. I understand that to keep things professional you have to script things, but at the same time it was awfully dull and sometimes lifeless. I enjoy the peripherals in Kinect and then with ESPN, but the central point of the gaming console is games and I was let down with that today.

Sometimes you can get by with the scripted behavior because the game being displayed is pulling you in, but we saw much of what we have in the past, Gears, COD, Halo etc. That's not to say some things didn't stand out. Your Shape was to me the most impressive Kinect piece. Sadly, the Lucas Arts piece looked shallow, but obviously the pop was in the fact that they are making a game for Kinect.

Doesn't have the appeal for me to hunt one of these down ASAP but I guess I'll buy it when I'm bored or something. Would compliment the PS3 nicely.

So MS does thier E3 Press Conference and the thing people are most excited about is a system redesign? Not sure that is what MS was going for today

It's E3. I'm sure much of the intended audience for the motion stuff doesn't even watch this. The press has to take things to hype up from this too. There wasn't the sexy high concept, high potential milo stuff the media ate up like last year. There's tech demos and mini games instead.

Yes you can. I just watched a video on xbox live featuring the new console. It mentioned all you need is the transfer cable (included?), no tranfer disc anymore.

My warranty on my 360 runs out in September, so if (when) it craps out after that I'll pick up the new model.

Also hoping this news translates into a PS3 price drop.

I wonder if you have an older system and it completely craps out (E74/RROD) if MS would be kind enough to give you one of these new systems? I doubt it but if my Xbox wants to die, now would be the time....

Seeing these new 360's makes me want to get one sooner then I was thinking. Anyone know how much a healthy kidney sells for? I got two and am more then willing to give one up for this system.
