 Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference

Wow I could trade in a 360, controller, 20GB hard drive (actually I have 2 extras), and wireless G adapter. With 2 drives, thats 200 bucks. Then I would only have to pay 100 bucks for the new xbox.

 IGN

Right now, Kinect only works when you stand. This includes menu navigation. All the cool options to grab a slider and advance through frames of a movie you are watching only work when you are on your feet. Kinect, we've been told, has problems handling your skeletal frame while sitting. The voice commands still work, but every game we've seen and even simple menu navigation have to be done with you out of your seat. That's not exactly how I want to watch my movies. If the focus for Kinect is creating games like Dance Central that naturally would require you to be off your couch, that's great. But I have to say, no one thinks "I am driving a car!" while standing up in their living room.

 Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference

Ok - not being able to sit down seriously kills the thing. They could have made some great 'sit down and relax' type games with the thing, but that just screws it all up.Comment

 Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference

It's amazing that apparently, one of two things have happened. Either MS never once realized during development that people may want to sit on a couch, or they can't get it working for some reason and are still full steam ahead for release in only a few months.

They only showed off tech demos and mini games anyways, and may try to go ahead and market it as a get off your *** experience. That's hilariously awful on its own as well.Last edited by bkfount; 06-16-2010, 09:29 PM.Comment

 Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference

 Hmmm.. tempting.

 I would get $100 for 360
 $45 for 120 HDD
 $25 for wireless controller

Hmmm... Maybe the rest could be my fathers day present...lol

But then if I trade in my harddrive, how would I transfer everything over? Unless they take 360's without a harddrive?

No way i'm getting one. My 360 is fine for now.Last edited by Brandwin; 06-16-2010, 07:52 PM.Comment

 Re: E3 2010: Microsoft Conference

Man, with that trade-in deal, I may have to call my local gamestop early friday morning and see how many they still have. I could trade in an xbox, 2 controllers, a big hard drive, some games...

Definitely getting one now, with that deal. Now maybe I can get a new TV too.Comment
