    Need help from game developers...

I think its time that game developers start to think outside the box and create games with an option for color blind people to use.

I am color blind and so many games are color based that it creates a HUGE problem for me.

    Example:

When I play Red Dead Redemption and I make a way point I can never see the stupid red line that is supposed to lead me! I will be getting frustrated until my wife or sons let me know I am going the wrong way!

There really needs to be an option for color blind people so they can enjoy the game the same!

Color blind people can still see color they just don't see the right ones or are confused by other colors that look all the same like in Red Dead's red lines!

If they used the colors that stick out for a color blind person that would probably increase there gaming market.

Re: Need help from game developers...

I know how you feel. Though not colorblind, I do have a visual impairment that sometimes makes things difficult. There are very few if any games that make any considerations for people with disabilities that may affect their ability to play the games.

I am also hearing impaired and tone deaf and this has even lead to a problem on one occasion. In Resident Evil 3: Nemesis there is a part where you have to solve a puzzle in order to get a key that was inside a music box sort of thing. In order to open it you had to series of notes and then replicate it. However, since I am tone deaf, half of the notes sounded identical to me and I was unable to solve the puzzle. I couldn't even look it up on the internet because the sequence was randomized for each playthrough. I had to take the game and memory card with the save over to my friends house and of course, him having good hearing, he was able to solve it on the first try.
