I just got the 1 red ring of death. Which means my hardrive from my elite is good. Can I buy an arcade and use my elite hardrive?

The hard drives are all manufactured to work on 360's no matter what version.

Yeah I just bought a new 360 and took my hard drive and stuck it in. The stuff you have downloaded off of XBOX Live won't be on there...you'll have to redownload it which is free.
