Mine is still "verifying". Card just got charged, so I'm hoping it'll move to shipped today, get it tomorrow. It's overnight shipping, so it should be here tomorrow regardless.

Re: New Xbox 360
I found this on CAG, not sure how true it is......but I don't think at this point it really matters since the system produces such low amounts of heat.
FYI, modders have started cracking these open and found that M$ has reverted back to the old X clamp on the chipset. Granted, the mobo should hold up this time, but I can't understand why they'd go back to architecture proven to fail. You early adopters might be screwing yourselves all over again. . .Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
The problem with the x-clamp was that all the heat warped the board and caused like micro fractures in the cheap solder balls.Comment

It sounds like people are starting to get theirs in the mail today from Gamestop and a few Gamestops in the southeast coast have them in today.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Yeah, I called, and they basically told me that I'd just have to wait. I don't necessarily want to wait, that they were verifying all of my information. 1 day for processing, and 1 day for transit. And they don't deliver on Saturday. So it'd be Monday at the earliest. BS.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: New Xbox 360
With my current 360 and all of its accessories I still only have a $250 trade-in value. I don't want to have to pay anything for this. Not to mention I will want to buy another controller for it. So I still need almost $100 in trades. My YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/gosjsharks14Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Is there a way I can check my Best Buy Warranty status on my 360? I'm pretty sure I still have a year left on it, but want to double check so I can return it and get this bad boy!Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Just a heads up...PRP was replaced by Geek Squad plan so you have to have it fail 4 different times til they will lemon it out and you would get a new one. The new plans are pretty much Microsofts free warranty.Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Here are some impressions and images from a poster on xbox.com.
Originally posted by xbox.comThis is my review of my new XBOX 360 Slim that I purchased today at the Microsoft Store.
As expected from a dashboard and gaming perspective nothing has really change so I will address the differences that I have noticed.
1. New Case - The case is not drastically smaller in size but it is definitely smaller then it predecessor. It does smudge easy as I expected with the glossy finished looked. Sleek little design that I personally think looks better. For size differences and pics check my link at the bottom.
2. Whisper Quiet - The new slim is extremely quiet compared to all of the other versions of the consoles released prior. Even when playing a game directly off of the disk. For a test I played Red Dead Redemption straight off the disk and hardly any noise from my console what so ever. Even while loading it to the HDD and then running it from there I had barely any noise on install or playing from disk. No more jet engines with this baby!
3. Heat - Are you curious about heat. Dont be fooled to think this console will product no heat. The console does still kick off some heat but the system seems to handle releasing the heat build more efficiently. There is a vent now on the top of the console allowing the heat to escape easily so overall the console stays rather cool. Even after being power on for a few hours the console itself to the touch was not really hot compared to my other two 360's.
4. New Touch Buttons - The touch sensitive buttons for the DVD Eject and Power On are a nice additional. They are extremely sensitive and activated with the slightest touch at least on my console.
5. Wifi - I really do not use the wifi as my house is hardwired but I set it up for a test and had no issues what so ever. Tested downloading some large files and streaming video and it worked extremely well. I have seen some people concerned with signal strength, which I had no problems with. My router is on another floor but it is still not extremely far away from the 360 either in case you are wondering.
6. Power Supply - The power supply is a lot smaller then the one the came with my Elite. In case you are curious it is 135W and does have a fan in it to help keep it cool.
7. Controller - Maybe its just cause its new bu the controller seems to be a little more responsive and I like the feel overall. I am not sure if they changed anything on the DPAD but man it definitely seems to work better then the ones on my older controllers.
Well those are the main hardware things that I wanted to comment on. I will say that I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love that it is smaller, the guide seems to run smoother and not as choppy as it was on my older Elite, and its extremely quiet which is one of the biggest benefits for me personally. I am more than please and I hope that anyone else that gets one is just as pleased. We now have the console that Microsoft should have released to begin with. I have upload a few pics from my unboxing. Hope you enjoy.
