I have a 60 gig fat that I would give up for a slim. It's been over two years since I've used BC so that's not an issue for me like I thought it would.

Same here i hardly ever used BC. This is a good deal i think i may bite on this. I slimmed down with the 360 i think it my be time to slim down my PS3

I'm thinking about jumping in on this. I have a 40gig w/no backwards compatibility. I've had it for 2 years. Since the slim comes with a controller I'd most likely trade in the ps3 and the six axis controller. My two questions are: How much do you think I'd wind up spending and what are the differences between the fatty's and the slim's besides size?

If you have a 40 or 80gb (2 usb), then this should be a no-brainer if you have the extra $120 in cash. If you have a launch console, then you might wanna think about it. I'm gonna let my 60gb go though.

I traded in my 40gb blu ray player yesterday. I just could never get into the PS3, the game line up and on line just wasnt for me.

But to those thinking about it, Gamestop reserves the right to end the promotion at anytime. For example the 360 trade in offer was suppose to end on 7/11 but they took it down on 6/27.

Agreed man, but I think they might keep this one extended since they can still sell the PS3 fatty for more than they're giving you in this offer.

Looks like it it is time for me to trade in my 40GB. It`s to good of a deal to pass up. I have been wanting a bigger hard drive for quite some time now. I might as well go ahead and take advantage of this. Now I just need to decide if I want the 120GB or the 250GB.


Anyone know if Best Buy matches trade in values?

If you have a launch console, wouldn't you be able to get more for it on Ebay because of Backwards Compatibility?
