    Do you switch off your PS3 from the back?

    When it's not in use? I personally never do, but I know some people who do.

      No without turning to standby first. I did it once, and then when I booted it up the PS3 told me I wasn't doing it right.

      I will go standby, then off if there is a storm coming.

              I didn't even know there was an on/off switch in the back. Or that it is on "standby" when I shut it off with the controller or front button.

                      I always turn it off at the back. This might sound dumb but what does having it on standby do?

                              I used to with my Phat Ps3 when it was going to remain off for extended periods of time. I have 2 slims now and they don't have the switch so now it's a no.

                                  No, always use the controller to turn if off then unplug it when I'm done playing.

                                      Only time I turn it completely off is when there is bad weather here. Which this summer has been at least once a week.

                                          Yes i shut it off from the back but i first turn off the system from the controller

                                              Same. Also, when it freezes to where I can't turn it off with the front power button (which is rare)

                                                      No mine's always on standby. I've had the 60gb since launch and haven't had any problems.
