    Xbox 360 USB storage question

Alright, here goes.... my 360 Slim had a video card issue, which required me to send the thing in for repair. Okay, that's past and everything is fine. 360 came back to me in working order. Play a game a few days ago, and the system tells me that there is no hard drive attached. Contact MS and told them what was going on... lo and behold, I have to send my HD in, and they're going to send me another one. Luckily, I shipped mine out yesterday morning, and I received a confirmation of shipping yesterday afternoon that they had sent my replacement drive out.

I'm wanting to download some demos and keep playing on Live this weekend since I'm off, so I was thinking about going out and picking up a USB 16GB card.

Do any of the USB cards work? Or is there a certain one I need to look for? I'm certainly not buying a MS brand one for $60. And I'm assuming they work for the Slim's don't they?

    Thanks fellas

I bought a cheap 2gb one from staples and it worked... just had to use the 360 to format it. I'm of the opinion that any usb stick will work.

I bought this one awhile ago:

Since it works, I'd suggest this one, which is even cheaper:

Here's my issue guys: I formatted the whole 16 gb when I moved all my stuff off my old 360. I reformatted it for CPU use, but it appears to be very slow now, getting files on and off it for some reason. Any suggestions? Maybe I formatted it wrong? Right now, mine is partitioned. I have one gig for 360 use and 15 everyday use.

This is not the case. The older ones will not work or will be very slow in loading files.

I believe the official 360 USB is $30 on Amazon and comes with one month free of XBL.
