Yeah I like the E-series. Mines is the E3000, it is black and blue. Coverage is good.....I can connect even at the furtherest point in my yard.

Oh if you ever buy cat6 cords, don't ever buy it from a store. They greatly over price it, buy it from monoprice.com instead. Can get it for 1/8 the price of what you would pay for it in a store.

Cat6 is more stable, less interference from other products and offer more speed if the source offers a higher speed. Plus on that website it is only a $2 difference.

Test your connection via XBL to see if your NAT is Open. This is important when connecting to others when playing online. If it's moderate, you need to get it open. Here's video which should. I own E1000 & used this video to get my NAT open.

Normally it will automatically update itself. But you can just go to the web based control panel of the router and click update.

@fishepa well i like to know the differences be it little as it may between stuff. Im a techie at heart but there are lots of things i dont know. Before this, i thought most routers were the same. speaking of routers lol, this new router is wonderful. Have not had 1 disconnect since since i installed it yesterday morning. My other router would drop randomly for no reason, especially late at night. Im happy!

Speaking of which, I work in telecom and one time we had this meeting by this senior engineer who spoke about various things, including NAT, I raised my hand and asked for more information about it because it was Xbox 360 related, my co-workers thought it was funny that I said that at the meeting to the guy. Routers really are all the same, they just have different parts. But they all effectively do the same exact thing.
