that's what they said. they'd be smart to release it in time for the holidays.

Not sure how much this means, but Gamestop's Vita page seems to indicate a $40 price on the games. Could just be placeholders, though.

I'd pay $40 for what is virtually a console game on the go. Hell, new DS games were selling for 34.99 (some still do... and 3DS games are 39.99), and they are no where near looking this good.

Agreed, and that would make them the same price as the PSP games are now, and there will be some cheaper.

I have no no interest in this thing at all........but..........

If they could produce a "PS3" quality version of NBA 2k and Madden. I would be very quick to change my tune. Seeing as how they have "PS3" quality version of Uncharted being released, it might be possible. Just thinking about have a portable "PS3 calibre " version of 2K and Madden would be very interesting.

This is about the only thing that would get me interested too. Otherwise I've got a Droid and an iPad, no interest in toting a 3rd portable device with me when the time calls for it.

Don't forget the potential that we will be able to continue our franchises from one device to the other. You could have a Madden franchise on your ps3, save it to the cloud, then continue it on your Vita, and then back to your PS3.

It is reportedly very easy to port from PS3 to Vita, so it's quite possible that the game will be nearly exactly the same on both the PS3 and Vita.

It's one of the main features that has been touted, now it's just a matter of seeing how/if it's executes.

This is what I am most excited about, especially for RTTS and Franchise in The Show.

They said the compatibility is seamless with the two systems, so the potential is limitless! It was designed to work so well with the PS3/4.

This would be a traveling man's dream (or someone who can't get the TV all the time). My only problem would just be costs, considering you'd have to buy the thing and buy the PSVita version of the game as well. Maybe there's a way for them to discount you if you already own the original version of the game? Maybe a UPC cutout mail-in rebate offer?

That was asked and Sony had said they haven't decided on things like that.

It wouldn't surprise me if they came out with something similar to a Bluray-DVD combo pack, so for instance for The Show next year they would have a PS3 version for $60, Vita version for $40 and a combo pack for $80 (PS3 disc and Vita download code). It also wouldn't surprise me if they took no such initiative.

E3 Replay: Scott Rohde Answers Your PS Vita Questions

The most talked-about PlayStation product out of E3 was, and continues to be, PS Vita. Yes, the hardware is impressive – especially at the starting price of $249 dollars. But – as is always the case – it’s all about the games. Fortunately, Vita looks set to launch with a plethora of big names and innovative indie games.

Who’s responsible for ensuring an awesome PS Vita launch lineup? People like Scott Rohde, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Studios Product Development at SCEA.

In our E3 interview, Scott Rohde talks about the making of Vita and the flexibility of the platform. It’s safe to say that fans of traditional button-and-analog-stick controls will be satisfied, all while incorporating innovative new interfaces like the back touch panel.

I’ve got to say, I love working for a company where a senior vice president doesn’t wear a suit. Like, ever.
