I don't expect Sony to drop the price, immediately.

If it was below $200, I would be all over it.. I may just wait it out for a bit for a price drop and some more games.

well I have to look into the remote play a bit more, It keeps asking me for a password when I try and link them up and when I put the password it says its incorrect, have to sit down and figure this out.


I will say that I have got into uncharted a lot since last night and man its just a great handheld game, and the touch implements are great, wont spoil it but you will see for yourself if you purchase, I'm really enjoying it.


having no store right now is killing me,,,,cant wait until Feb 15, it will be all new again to me.

Well, I have seen the PS Vita and FIFA at the office, but that's it right now.

Thanks. I had read that it is fairly easy to port over PS3 titles to the Vita. Any truth to that?

Well after a few days with the Vita, I will say I'm very to overly satisfied, I tried the remote play finally got it paired up correctly, but no game I have support it, I keep getting a messages saying that each game I tried is not supported, oh well for remote play thus far, I'm sure when it releases here in the sates that will change.

I'm just so surprised with how great the graphics look, Uncharted is is freaking eyed candy, can believe this is on an handheld and MVC3 is a thing of beauty too.

Again, I thought that I would be doing most of my game buying from the digital stand point, but now I think I'm just going to buy the cartridges, I love the mini cases, weird I no but they look like babies cases....LOL

IMO opinion this thing is a go and whoever buy it in the states is going to love it, I cant wait for the show in march and I'm hoping we get a call of duty on the Vita, the Vita is legit guys.

A lot of doom and gloom articles and opinions about the Vita and Sony. I do agree with IGN, they need to really pack in a 4gb memory card with this thing at that $250 price.

Is A Perfect Storm Sinking the PlayStation Vita?

What Sony can do is nip the memory card problem in the bud. Drop the prices of the memory cards more drastically than has already been done, and better yet, bundle a 4GB proprietary stick with every Vita so that people don't have to make another purchase in addition to the Vita unit and whatever games any given consumer wants to pick up. This would go a long way towards making the Vita situation more tenable at retail, and it would also be a great goodwill gesture towards consumers.

Perhaps Sony could even go further than that. The Vita's launch lineup in North America is outrageously impressive, so why not offer up a freebie to anyone that buys the handheld? Say, pack in Little Deviants for free with that free memory card and really give players some bang for their buck. Or better yet, give new Vita consumers some free cash in their PlayStation Store wallets to get the online economy going on the PSN.

A Look at Vita Games and Accessories

It's true that Sony has serious problems with PlayStation Vita. But the perfect storm that's hindering the Vita right now could be turned around to help it in the future. It's worth noting that the PSP got off to an incredibly slow start too, and it's also worth noting that Vita's biggest game right now -- Uncharted: Golden Abyss -- is a decidedly western title. But those are asides when you consider Vita's larger marketing and peripheral pricing problems.

If Sony can take care of those issues, the fortunes of PlayStation Vita will turn around. If Sony fails to learn from these early lessons, well... the PlayStation Vita could well prove to be a failure. Only time will tell which direction Sony -- and in turn, Vita -- takes.

It's all very similar to what the 3DS went through last year, just a bit more so for Vita. Granted there's more factors going against it so Sony may not be able to right the ship as quickly as Nintendo did (big price cut + evergreen franchises), but I have no doubt they will, and ultimately, the device being a success.

Packing a 4GB card in is what I suggested a couple pages back (3DS comes with a 2GB). It's not going to take long to fill it up, but at least out of the box you can play games.
