Same here. I have a screen protector (managed to apply it with no bubbles!) and also use a hard-shell carrying case since I travel quite a bit for work.

I don't know if it scratches easily but I think anytime you're using a phone/game system that has touchscreen features, it's more suseptible to getting scratched. For me, it's just a precautionary thing. I know there are users on here that don't cover the screen and haven't had any issues.

I couldn't answer that with 100% accuracy because of how I handle my system. But I can say I don't have a single scratch on the screen and I've had my Vita since launch.

I have a screen protector on my front screen, but the back seems to be made of the same stuff and the back of mine does have some minor scratches just from sitting it down temporarily during sessions, otherwise it sits in my case plugged in.

Really a shame that Sony didn't use gorilla glass or one of it's competitors, the plastic they use is decent but it'd be nice to have it pretty much scratch proof. I can't really be that mad though, who knows how much gorilla glass costs, so I'm fine using a screen protector and a case.

Don't use a protector at all. Not a single scratch on it. My whole thing is, what is the point of enjoying a gorgeous screen, if you are not going to enjoy it the life of the system.

IMO, those screen protectors inhibit it a bit, and they develop scratches and smudges much easier. Which in a sense, has you staring at scratches with lesser visual quality, lol.

Same with the iPhone. No screen protector. No scratches as well.

              Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion

The Vita screen is softer than a cell phone, the screen protector I have on mine has zero scratches and is crystal clear (I did have to use my Vita for a few days before I could get my screen protector on there). If not for the edges around the speakers I would never notice it's even there. The screen protector getting scratches is kind of the point, it scratches then you just toss it and put on another $7 screen protector, can't do the same to the Vita's screen.

Scratches on the back of my properly babied (microfiber, case, etc) but heavily used Vita:

Zoomed in they look pretty horrific:

              Spoiler

On the back it would be no big deal, on the screen would be horrible. It's screen protector or bust for me, Vita's screen material is too soft not to, I have no idea where those scratches could have even come from (well, I know they come from me sitting the Vita down, but we are typically talking about a couch or a magazine or something, never sit it directly on a hard surface).

I'd love to see NCAA on the Vita, but I haven't heard anything that would indicate a release on this platform.
