If you are into Minecraft, Terraria might be your thing. It is like a 2D version of Minecraft, and while never playing Minecraft, I'm addicted to this game. My favorite PS Plus Vita release so far.

Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested in it - Atelier Rorona Plus is a cross-buy (PS3/Vita)title, and that hasn't really been documented anywhere. One purchase entitles you to the download of both.
It is a niche JRPG of all niche JRPG's, but if the item creation and synthesis aspect of those types of games appeals to you, it might be worth a look because this game and series has it in spades. Just don't expect too much in the way of plot - none of the Arland games have much of one. Also, if you don't handle "cute" well, stay far, far away.

All the more baffling that Sony still refuses to allow the 64GB memory card to leave Japan ...

While I agree with that sentiment, it seems I was mistaken. It's around 3 GB, maybe I was looking at the PS3 version's size or something.

Okay, so apparently I'm wrong about this too, but I was definitely looking at the right part of the store this time. It's not Cross-Buy, but for some reason buying the Vita version entitled me to download the PS3 and Vita DLC's for the game, but not the PS3 game itself. I saw those and just assumed I could download the game too once I hopped on PS3, but I guess that's not the case. The only actual "game" I can download is the one listed as Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland PS Vita. Really weird.

I'm downloading what appears to be the Vita game on PS3 just to make sure that's what it is, because the entry on my download list leaves it ambiguous - it doesn't say whether it's for PS3 or Vita (though it does in the title, as I mentioned above). It definitely works on Vita, at least.

Sorry that's so confusing - I'll know more once that download finishes, I just wanted people to be aware that it wasn't what I thought before. They made a pretty big mess of this one on the store.

Edit: Yeah, they're seperate - the only one I can download and play is the Vita version. Sorry guys, my mistake (although being able to download the PS3 DLC is dumb).

Tales of Hearts R might not have a dub: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/...date-announced

Still buying even if that's the case, but that's going to hurt sales in an already niche market. Wish IGN could clarify whether they mean it's going to have only JPN or both languages, but most commenters (and myself) think they mean it won't be dubbed.

Even if it doesn't have a dub I don't think it will hurt it's sales, personally.

                  Only time will tell though.

Would it, though? This strikes me as the kind of game that is for die-hards only, and those die-hards would buy it regardless of the language option.

Maybe, because it's vita and that makes it a very small market already. I just don't like that it completely closes it off to newcomers, at least they would have a chance of bringing in people who haven't played the series before.

Then again, it will probably save them a good deal of money not having English actors and might make it easier to turn a profit.

For what we know, that could be the only reason it's coming over in the first place. It's hard to blame them, if this is the case.

So I got a good deal and made the Vita plunge today (should be here in a few days), it's coming with a COD BO Declassified, Assasins Creed 3 and I bought Little Big Planet and Mod Nation Racers for cheap. I'm probably going to pick up The Show 14 to hold me til I get my PS4.

Beyond those, any games/accessories you folks reccomend?

The COD game is not that great. I would have kept playing it, but it is lacking a whole lot of goodness.

If you want an FPS game, you are doing an incredible disservice to yourself by not getting KillZone: Mercenary. They still support the game fully to this day and I play it as much now as I used to. In fact, back when it had struggling connectivity issues. That's all been resolved.

If you've ever liked LittleBigPlanet, LBP for Vita might be the best version, so there's that. ModNation Racers is not as good on Vita as it is on PS3, but it was still a fantastic title with interesting level design.

MLB The Show is great for playing a franchise or RttS.

I am going to start playing Tearaway soon, which will fulfill my RPG needs. A lot of people bought P4G, though.

Recently, my most played offline game has been Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It is a great vita game, even though the PC version is superior especially because of its framerate and number of AI racers.

I'd also recommned: HSG: World Invitational, Zen Pinball 2, and PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale if people still play it online. It's like Super Smash Brothers but with an inferior scoring system.

I was looking into HSG as I used to play the hell out of those on my old PS1. I was considering trading in COD and AC3 anyway after testing them out when it arrives. Thanks for the suggestions.

If you don't already, I would subscribe to PS+ for a few months to try it out. You will get a lot of good Vita games out of it.
