Good, more time for my wallet to recover from:

    Uncharted 3
    Skyrim
    Battlefield 3

All toward the end of the year.

Sony confirms Vita has 512MB of RAM

Sony has finally confirmed that it hasn't halved the PlayStation Vita's RAM.

As reported by 1UP, a spec sheet that went out today detailing the handheld's social networking support also offered up a few technical specs, including confirmation that the system has 512MB of RAM and 128MB of dedicated VRAM.

Earlier this year, reports circulated that Sony had decided to cut the RAM back to 256MB in an effort to keep manufacturing costs down so it could better compete with the 3DS.

I second that, now if only they lower the price on this thing since its the same as the PS3 at this point.

It's an even more impressive looking piece of hardware in these cam videos -- actually seeing games running on that OLED screen.

So I'm trying to understand some of those last screens. Does this officially mean that they've tapped into its potential to remote play from the PS3 and play PSVita games on the big screen, using the Vita as a controller with a screen like Nintendo's new system is touting theirs can do?

I think if I have enough games to cross-platform this thing with, and if it doesn't become instantly obsolete within its own generation (or with a new PlayStation console coming soon), I would love to buy this thing day one. Otherwise, this thing would have been the guarantee of all guarantees two years ago if we weren't already thinking about new consoles.

Rumor has it that Sony will be able to do what the Wii U can with that giant sized controller to play PS3 games back and forth.
