Yeah, we won't hear about 360 exclusives till some point next year. I'm interested to see if they try to create any new IPs.

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
I'm trying to sell my 360.
It's the second one I've owned. I sold my last one because everyone's system was dying and I didn't have a warranty. I bought another one because most of my friends play on Live and I'm a big Halo fan. I've beat reach and most of my friends are burnt out on it, but feel the need to hate on every other shooter out there.. even the "real life" military shooters like MoH, BC2, and the COD games. I can't convince them to play them and I play most of my shooters with one of my friends and guys here from Os, so I'm selling it.
I like the system just fine and I don't have any major complaints, It's just useless to have it sitting there when I never play it. I've played it one night in the past month. I've been using it for Netflix mostly and I can do that with my PS3. I have a 40 gig PS3, but I'm just going to upgrade the hard drive and continue playing it.
Again.. I don't have any complaints with the system, It's just wasting space and money by sitting there + I'd like to buy a new TV and the money would help.Comment

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
The 360 is absolutely dominating the PS3 in sales here in Dallas, at least as far as Best Buy is concerned. We don't have a single Kinect, Kinect Bundle, or 250gb model in any of our district stores as of yesterday. Plenty of PS3s though... of all models and HD sizes.Comment

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
I have both and the only game I have for the PS3 is MGS4 (still haven't finished) which I got for free from this site. I did order FFXIII for 20 bucks on Friday, but I really don't game on it at all. No way I could give up my 360.PS: You guys are great.

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
I have all three and would not think of selling any one of them. The 360 is my first choice for gaming and online. The PS3 is on another TV and used as a media center, Netflix and some gaming. The Wii is needed for the Nintendo exclusives.Comment

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
I bought a 360 250 gb slim model yesterday and am seriously impressed. Great machine and I'd forgotten how much better Xbox Live is than PSN.
My wife really wanted a Kinect, so we got one of those with it.
I've already arranged to sell my PS3 to a friend. I hadn't used it for almost 6 weeks since I bought a new Laptop (playing NBA 2K11 on the laptop).
IMO the slim model + xbox live + a kincet really is a nice package. The first time i've really felt like it's a complete 'next gen' system.

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
360 losing it's luster? Heck no
I have a slim 360 250gb and a slim 120gb ps3. I will not get rid of any of them. I am a blu ray junkie and love the ps3 for movie watching on downloading movies. I love playing exclusives for ps3 which are great games. I love MLB the show.
But the games I get every year are 3rd party titles like Madden, NBA 2K, COD and etc etc and those games are just much much better on the 360
MS is supporting 3rd party games more because that brings in tons of revenue every year and they feel that games like Gears and Halo will sell a ton for them
But the verdict is out, the 360 is the gaming console of choice, sales tell you that and the excuse of being a year ahead cannot be used any longer specially since PS3 could not over take the 360 even with the horrible failure rate.
Imagine how much bigger the gap would be if MS never had that issue at first.
I feel the PS3 is a superior machine in terms of specs, but that is only for exclusives and movie watching capabilities.
Did PS3 have about 1 million playing Black OPS the first night like xbox live did?
Ask yourself this, if there was never a ps1 or ps2 and no regular xbox
Both PS3 and 360 came out in 2005, would there even be a competition for gamers.
I dont think so, the ps3 has the cult following and people love it for a long time therefore they want to have it
But facts are facts, 360 is the dominant gaming console with a beast of an online service
SOny PS3 is the king of the exclusives and movie watching capabilities.
I love both my consoles.
I made the mistake of trading in my Madden copy for a ps3 copy and that was a failure because the audio is so broken in the ps3 version along with replays that it made me go back and trade it back for 360 version.
But the SHow, Ucharted, GOW those are games that no 360 exclusive can match.
3rd party games, 360 wins rather easily for meComment

FF.... these are the types of threads you tend to make before you switch systems again. And bro, you've been switching a TON recently. Settle down, the 360 is fine

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
Question for you xbox heads
I have this tv which is my pride and joy at the moment.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN46B8...0912760&sr=8-1
I read the IGN throw down between 360 and PS3 and they said that 360 is native 720p and PS3 has games in true 1080p
When playing 360, do you guys run it on 1080p or 720p native like the games are.
When I play Madden in 1080p on 360 and put the screen size at screen fit. I get the doritos player of the game screen cut off at the edges. It is fixed when doing 16:9 but I like screen fit because it shows you more of the screen like the depth perception and outside receivers.
Is this because I am running it on 1080p and I should do 720p and let the tv do the upscaling?
ON PS3 when I force 1080 for games it lessens the graphics for some reason. they look washed out and a bit blurredComment

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
Well I went PS3 only for about 1.5 years, and finally just decided to buy the new 250gb 360. I couldnt be happier with the system, and the party chat system with COD:Black Ops is worth it right there. Its the same now as it always has been for me............both systems bring there good and bad to the table, but I love them both for what they each do right.
If they came out with the Playstation 360, I would a single console owner then!Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Trust me that's not where is was going, I just was a little concerned about the lack of first party titles from MS lately, be because I know they can produce some killer first party games.N.Y Mets

Re: 360 Losing luster.....
The only reason I still have my ps3 is because of Blu Ray. If a game is on 360 and ps3 I'll get it on 360 everytime and there aren't many ps3 exclusives that I like all that much.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
