So a few weeks ago I ordered the new GoldenEye for Wii, and I got the bundle that comes with the gold classic controller. I was looking forward to using this controller with GoldenEye, especially since no other game I have supports the classic controller. Well, it doesn't seem to work. The instructions basically said plug it in and it should work, well it didn't. I couldn't get a single button on it to work, and when I went to the Wii menu, the only button on the controller that worked was B.
That is not all. I cannot use my Wii mote and nunchuck to play GoldenEye either. None of the button presses register, I can't even get past the screen that says "press any button to continue" that happens soon after you load the game up.
I don't know what to think. My Wii mote still works fine, I tested it out on Mario Galaxy 2. So I'm wondering, what the heck is up? I tried to re-sync the wii mote with the classic controller, and tried to sync it without, and still nothing. Thankfully I have an old wavebird wireless that I can use to play GoldenEye with, but I really want to use the wii mote and classic controller. Before I send the classic controller in to Nintendo for a new one (since it's still under warranty), what are some thoughts/suggestions as to what I should do?
