There you go........you talking anywhere from $70 to $200. All depends on what kind of quality you want and how much you willing to spend.

      Re: Gaming headsets

I`m also in the market for a new headset for my PS3. The cheap Jabra blue tooth is not cutting it anymore for me. I would like to find a headset in the $50 to $80 range. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What do you think are these two headsets? Are they going to be good headsets and worth the money?

Thanks for the help, just one more question. I looked through the reviews and I think I saw one person touch upon this subject. If I use the HDMI setup for my PS3, do I need to worry about any compatibility issues between the Turtle Beach headset( above) and my HDMI connection?

                Re: Gaming headsets

                1. They both good headsets

                2. Gaming headsets have a dedicated left and right audio jack, therefore you just plug that directly into the audio out on the back of your tv. No issues with HDMI what so ever.

People who complain about HDMI issues must don't know how to read or something. Because the instructions that come with gaming headsets are very detailed and give you 3 or 4 ways to connect it to any type of tv.

Nope. There are instructions on how to set your audio to your headphones and still use HDMI. I do it with mine.

Sportsnut, I have the Turtle Beach px 21's. They are a solid headset. the sound is stereo but its good. Being able to control the game volume and the chat volume at the same time is a plus too. I say they are worth it.

I just bought the Tritton 180 and love it. Works great, is comfortable, can control game and chat volume sepperately and price was good. Best Buy had on sale for 69.99. It's not a surround headset but I have my surround system for that..

                        Re: Gaming headsets

Yeah the separate chat and game volume was a HUGE plus for me. Another plus was I am able to talk normally now. With the default headset I literally had to yell in order for people to hear me.

Also I get a kick out of hearing people trying to sneak up behind me or hearing somebody up in the balcony somewhere reloading their gun.

Using DPX21's with my 360 and loving them. Chat control plus bass control and 5.1/7.1 DSS amp equals one awesome pair of headsets.

That's what I was worried about. I kept reading that issue. I am going to get the Earforce X11 today, the ones for $59.99.

I can't really justify spending much more than that. The wires won't bother me, so I don't want to spend more for wireless.

Yeah I got the Trittons 180 as it was on sale for 69.99 at BB. I didn't need the surround ones as I have a surround system for that. Mainly wanted headset for the times I need to be extra quiet in my man cave.

Anyways I plug mine right into the surround system headphones port (Already had an adaptor that allowed it). So no matter how any system is hooked up all I have to do is change the output on my surround system for whatever I'm playing.
