my Wii is very loud, and though it doesn't always prevent me from playing it, sometimes it's too annoying. It's so loud I have to turn my TV up louder than I'd prefer to try and drown out the noise of the Wii. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd like the Wii to be as quiet as possible. I'm pretty sure it wasn't always this loud, maybe it's just dirty?

Sounds like your Wii is about to kick the bucket. Is it still under warranty? Outside of getting it fixed or buying a new one, there's not much you can do. Mine runs quiet as a church mouse.my Wii is very loud, and though it doesn't always prevent me from playing it, sometimes it's too annoying. not under warranty. It was bought close to launch by the original owner, a friend of mine, and I purchased it from him like three years ago. It's old.Lux y VeritasComment

Sounds like the known issue of the DVD drive going bad. You'll have to send it in to Nintendo, or repair it yourself but it seems Nintendo's repair charges are reasonable.Comment

Is it weird I read this topic and saw "My Wife is loud. What can I do about that?" and first thought came to mind was "Duct Tape".......or something else I can't describe
