I haven't had any issues with mine. Everything looks smooth as butter to me (then again I didn't/wouldn't own a regular 3DS so I have nothing to compare it to.)

Effects me as I can see it lol

My older eyes needed the bigger screen. It really was a difference maker for me.

A friend of mine has an OG 3DS and I think the IQ is a little better on it, but I personally don't mind seeing more pixels with the XL. The bigger screens, better battery life, better shoulder buttons, better ergonomics, and that it can display DS games 1:1, I feel far outweigh a slight image degradation.

I agree. I know though that speakers on the XL are horrible compared to the original 3DS.

We still have a DSi and man that thing gets loud makes the XL sound quite as a mouse

Yeah, I didn't notice that, but I primarily use earbuds or headphones. Regardless, I do wish the audio was a little louder. Even with really low impedance and high sensitivity, the 3DS struggles to push them, while the Vita has no problem.

Animal Crossing is $29.99 this week at Kmart. So use those price matches at Best Buy. Can even get the digital that way.

Just got from K-Mart. They didn't have it on shelf yet but lady went to back and grabbed it for me. Now I will play for about an hr then bed..

I'll put the $ at GS on MS points so I'll have it when I get State of Decay.

I picked it up this morning for BB with the physical copy price match.

It's so good. Even better than I remember AC. If 3ds does get Super Smash, this truly will be the perfect gaming system. Going to pick up a 2nd 3ds for my wife this week. She wants AC now as well.

Agree! Best AC to date IMO. Having a lot of fun. Game is just set up perfectly how they have the town etc..
my play for 1 hour turned into over 2 roughly.. lol
Need about 7000 more bells to start building my house.
Have the net and shovel right now. Collected some fossils and insects as well as hit the money rock :]

Great so far but I have to hit the bed for work tonight.
My town is Mystery and native fruit is oranges.

Man not much to do on day 1

My town has oranges. I found quite a few fossils an bugs. Bought some items and put the down payment on my house

Guess I don't need to get to your town to get your fruit lol
I need to decide where I'll have my main orchard set up at.
My house is right by the "river" and ocean for close fishing spots

I did donate my fossils I get to the Museum first then will start selling when I have dupes..

Likewise. I put my house in a clearing between the creek and ocean.

Not close to down payment yet. Just have to figure out how to get the fruit and bugs. Gonna check the stores in a bit.

Ya I went around buying random stuff before I knew that I had to make a down payment so I had to wonder around to make around 3k lol.

My house in the lower right corner by itself next to the river. I'm still not sure about a lot of things like setting up something like the orchard.

So, I purchased AC today, and my daughter immediately fell in love with the game. It's just a great chill game and I can see her playing this for many months.

With that said, I'm just a wee bit jealous. In order for me to have my own town, do I have to purchase my own separate game or download it digitally? Do I have to have my own 3DS?
