Broken PS3

Is there any danger in someone being able to get information off your hard drive on a ps3 if you sell it? Mine broke and I'm thinking of selling it but I'm worried that once someone fixes it they could get credit card or any personal info I entered into the ps3. Any advice?

wipe the drive and you should be good, make sure u reactive video and content too. what model was it

It's the 60 gig fatboy. Is there anyway you can do all that stuff without being able to turn the ps3 on? Thanks for the advice.

Just some more background info. It has the blinking red light not the ylod. Anyone know the value of a ps3 without the hard drive?

Just happened to my 20GB as well. I had a 500 HD installed in it though. I can't seem to find the original HD that was in it. Just trying to find out what my options are to replace it.

not trying to jack the thread...just in the same position
