    Evil D-Pad Xbox 360 Controller

    Anyone have/try one of these?

    Evil D-Pad Xbox 360 Controller

The page you requested was not found, and we have a fine guess why. If you typed the URL directly, please make sure the spelling is correct.

Looks intriguing... Though the buttons seem a tad bit far apart... And I guess they are just "professionally" modded (basically really well done) versions of the actual Microsoft controller. I've read some reviews, and all are on the positive side.

Comes in a wireless version, which is currently going for $59.99 on sale... Normally $84.99.

For the sale price I'm tempted, especially considering that new Microsoft controller with the twisting d-pad (and charge kit) goes for roughly the same price... And I've read that the new twisting d-pad isn't really an improvement.

    Ridiculous!

Who would spend $85 on a controller?

And considering I have yet to own a Microsoft controller that didn't have one of the analog sticks start "drifting" on me within six months of getting it I must agree with your sentiment.

Pretty cool products for the 360. They have limited options for PS3 though. I want a PS3 controller with good quality buttons. Seems my X button always starts sticking in about 6 months or so.

I really think Sony and Microsoft do this on purpose, that is, give their controllers a short lifespan so you buy more.

As for this Evil D-pad, I sort of got a feel for it by simply turning my current controller around and using the A/B/X/Y with my left hand, as the button spacing looks to be about the same. Feels weird and would take some getting used to I think.

If I need a controller in the future and it's still on sale I may try it.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. It seems that the first generation of Dualshock 3's were really high quality. After that they seemed to have gone downhill a bit.

That D-Pad looks really weird. +1 to the silver play and charges not being much different. I bought one right after they came out (needed a new controller anyways) and I'd venture to say the colorblind scheme has a bigger effect on gameplay than the transforming d-pad.

I went through about 8 or 9 PS2 controllers in 4 years, 3 360 controllers since its been out, and 2 PS3 controllers in the year I've had it. They have to be doing something. to have the buttons sticking and the sticks leaning all over the place.

Or some of you guys just beat the hell out of em? I mean seriously, how hard do you push those buttons, lol? I've never once, in my entire gaming life, had to rebuy a controller because it broke down, had buttons sticking, dpads or analog sticks getting whack, etc.

Consider yourself lucky I guess. I never play without washing my hands first so I am not part of the controller abuser camp. I have been told that I have strong handshake, so maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows.

I've had the same PS2 controllers since the PS2 was released and they still work to perfection. Mind you, some of the wires are falling out of the cable lining, but they still work.

And what is this talk of different generation Dualshock 3's? I thought there was only one type of Dualshock 3?

The last controller I had break on me was an original Dualshock that, in a moment of rage, slammed it face down on a table. In the end, all that did was break the small circuit board the analog sticks were attached to and I removed that and the motors and was still able to use it as a regular controller. I have broken a couple Genesis controllers in a similar fashion, though the breaking was just the plastic shell.

The only controllers I've had wear out on me were several Logitech game pads, analog sticks on 2 Dual Action, analog stick on a Wingman and the triangle buttons on two Cordless Action Pads for the PS2 (looking back on it, Logitech's gamepads were pretty fragile).
