So what are your gaming pet peeves/rules.

Just a random thought I had, so I decided to start this thread.

    Shall I begin?

    1. Every now and then I'll play an RPG on a weekday. Those types of games are relegated to the weekends for me. I absolutely must have the day off AND not have to work the next day.

Sometimes this even applies to my sports gaming.

    2. I NEVER eat and play at the same time. On the very rare occasions that I do, I keep paper towels and a bottle or cup of rubbing alcohol to ensure my controllers dont get filthy. I cant stand crusty greasy controllers lol. I will go nuts.

    3. Besides boxing, I rarely if ever play a sports game online. I'm geeked out on my sports titles. I have my own little world going on and I WILL NOT let another person ruin my world.

    4. I'm an equipment fiend going waay back to electric football. In Madden, my LBs, DL, RBs, etc MUST look the part. No LBs with RB bull facemasks, no players shall wear that ugly revolution full cage mask that sticks out entirely too far. If I miss a player (which is rare) and I see him in game with the wrong look, it messes up immersion and I will quit the game and fix him. Ion schutt please, with appropriate facemasks combos please. I need that in Madden/NCAA 12.

Back in the day with my electric football players, we used to use model paint, clay, and sewing needles to put the correct cages and gloves, etc on our players. The clay was for different size players (then repaint over it)

    5. Odd quirk I have. Dont bust my balls for this lol. I know many of us played highschool sports. Well I dabbled in football. Wasn't bad if I may say so myself. I played HB and CB. I honestly didn't notice this at first until my wife pointed it out.

When I'm playing NCAA/Madden, I'm always standing in front of the T.V. in my CB stance (crouched at the knees) and talking like I'm really on the field lol. I use the no switch rule, so if the play goes to the other side of the field I'm all "get his ***" , "yea come ya *** over this way and see what happens" "crunch time baby" lol. I'm serious about my Madden/NCAA.

I think thats it. What about you?

Don't deal with glitchers online. Only looking for fair play online. I'll take a hit on my Live rep and bail if someone tries to cheese/glitch a game to death. Not cool, for real.

And no pizza when gaming...nothing worse than a greasy controller.

I'm really OCD about cleaning the crevice where the two halves of a controller meet, I'm constantly running a fingernail or toothpick around there to get the gunk out.

A pet peeve that I really hate, but can't do anything about, is long, unskippable company credit movies along with load screens for main menus. Irritates me to no end, I just want to get to the game.

Lol, man my wife did the exact same thing to me the other day. In the middle of a FNC match she comes in and starts asking me all kinds of questions. I mean the dude I was matched up against was relentless too, just stalking me around the ring while I'm trying to back up and field the questions from the old lady. I was pissed.

It was some ole irrelevant **** too. "My family wants to get a gift for your dad, how tall is your dad? is his waistline similar to yours or a little bit wider? What size shoe does he wear?" I'm like "baby I dont ****in know sheesh, hold on!!" I mean just some straight outta left field random **** that she could've asked any other time. Meanwhile, ole boy punchin me in the face with cotto and knocks my *** out cold lol.

Same here...Seems like whenever there is a big moment about to happen in the Show, my wife or son decides to ask me a question or walk in front of the TV right before a pitch is thrown. So, i try to play either when the wife and kids are asleep.

Man, I'm with you on that all day long. If I notice the controller has gotten too grimey, I'll even unscrew everything and take it apart for a full inspection and cleaning. Similar to how we have to clean our rifles after the rifle range lol.

I get distracted when I find little finger prints on my TV. Once I find the finger prints while playing a game I have to pause the game and clean off my TV screen...otherwise, my attention will be more towards the prints than the game itself.

I never eat when I play games, can't stand anything on or around my controller besides the hands used to play it. This is why I hate letting my roommate use my 360, he's always got greasy *** hands like he just got done swimming in a bag of Ruffles. I can't deal with a greasy controller.

Other than that, most of my gaming is spent in online shooters so my pet peeves pertain to them.

                          1. Don't glitch/cheat

                          2. Don't quit

                          3. Don't sabotage the team

                          4. Don't be a douche in general

                          5. If the game mode is objective-based, then play that way. If you want team deathmatch, then ****ing play that mode.

                          6. If you don't have a mic at least try to be as good of a teammate as you can be

                          7. Trash talking is fine. What's not fine is saying something racist/sexist/offensive in a similar manner. Won't go into details here, but if you're played a shooter online you know what I mean.

I'm right there with you on that. I've gotten to the point where I don't even play story driven games when my Fiancee is in the room with me. I swear she is won't make a peep until there is a cut scene when I actually want to listen and be left alone then she wants to start having a conversation. It absolute irks me to know end but I know better than to say anything.

                            No need for drama.
