Fellas, I need to rekindle my love for Nintendo. Thinking about selling the 360 and putting some cash with it to buy a Wii U. Seeing Mario kart, I want to play it. I also want my kiddos to grow up with Nintendo like dear old dad. My fear is that they won't be able to use the controller as it looks bulky. They're 4 and 3 respectively. Thoughts?

Most (maybe all??) games can be played with the WiiMote controller/Pro controller etc..
The cool thing is if TV is "busy" they can play with just the gamepad.

Any stores doing any trade in deals on the 4gb 360 slim? I don't have the controller though unfortunately lol. Yay rescue dogs FTW.

I know we'd have a blast playing it together. Especially Mario kart.

Most places will dock you if you don't have at least 1 controller and all cables.
I looked up Best Buy and a 4GB system with no controllers = 66.00 (76.00 with controller)
Probably best to do Ebay etc..

EBGames has extra 50% trade in when you trade any system but only towards and X1 or PS4 purchase.

I'm thinking of possible dumping my PS3 towards the X1. We'll see how E3 turns out.
That would give me the WiiU, PS4 and X1. My main issue is I know I'll get cross platform games for the PS4 which just leaves X1 exclusives and I'm just not sure that's worth a X1 purchase at this time.

Likewise. My ps4 will get the most gaming time for everything. The Wii U is a family time machine. I can't justify the One as I'm not a fan of any of the exclusives. Looks like i can get around $90 on the console only, May just go that route, and then look for a Wii U for a crazy deal somewhere. I'm pretty set that I'll have one in the next week or two.

Thanks for the input. I like the idea of the gamepad, I just wonder about the size for their hands. I'll just have to find one to try. I've looked over the wii u, never even thought about buying til this week.

The electronics department at most Target stores should have a Mario Kart 8 kiosk setup with a GamePad right now.

If you're out with your kids and there's a Target nearby, I'd suggest stopping by to see how well it fits their hands.

The kiosk unit will be heavier though because it's so strapped down.

No, but there's Wii Party U. If you take Mario Party, remove Mario, add Miis, that's Wii Party U. I got it as my free Mario Kart game and honestly, my family has had more fun playing 4-player Wii Party than 4-player Mario Kart.

Ok then.

I'm currently debating whether or not to get a Wii U in my next 2 paychecks or wait until Super Smash Bros. comes out. Online for that will be crazy.

For anyone who already has a Wii U, you can get Wonderful 101 and Nintedoland for $10 a piece at Toys R Us right now. They are being clearanced out, so you will have to bring them up to the register to reveal their true price.

The Wii version of Sin & Punishment is also a great clearance buy at just $3.

I picked up the Mario/Luigi bundle, a Wii Remote Plus w/ nunchuck, and Mario Kart today. Target is doing $15 off a $39.99+ when you pre-order a game, so I got Super Smash Bros.

Anybody who is new to the Wii U in the coming weeks, here are about five or six games you have to try out:

Mario Kart 8
Mario 3D World
Zombi U
Wonderful 101
Pikman 3
Zelda: Windwaker
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Mario Kart and Mario World are a ton of fun to play with others. Donkey Kong doesn't get talked about much, but one of the most difficult (in a fair way) platformers I've ever come across.
