Re: Wii U Discussion
Looks like Galaxy 2 will be $9.99 during the first week when it goes live today.
The other Wii games coming this month look like they will be priced the same. That's much cheaper than retail and second hand. I payed $50 for Metroid Prime Trilogy. This is something I wanted to see Nintendo do for awhile; simple ISO dumps for a significantly reduced cost. I guess it's time to start looking for an external HDD option.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
Galaxy 2 doesn't require to much space at 1.6GB. The vast majority of Wii games look like their 4GB or less. Metroid Prime Trilogy being one of the few exceptions, since it requires a dual-layer DVD.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
The external hard drive is a pretty simple set-up on the Wii U. However, you either need a powered hard drive or it's recommended that you use a Y-cable (which uses both USB ports on the back of the Wii U) to power the hard drive.

Re: Wii U Discussion
Nintendo will start offering Wii games for download from the eShop this month and they will be half price for one week after launch. Also, Wii games that supported the classic controller will offer the ability to be played on the Gamepad only.
Lineup this month:
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Today
Punch Out! (U.S.) Donkey Kong Country Returns (Europe) - January 22nd
Metroid Prime Trilogy - January 29th
To bad there where only like 4 or 5 games worth playing on the wii lol such a bad system.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
I'm finding this to be the exact opposite, as someone who never owned a Wii before and has since been going back and playing recommended Wii games. I'm thinking the amount of waggle shovelware and HD movement elsewhere painted a negative perception.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
Does Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid need the wii mote and nunchuck? I never played either (aside from the first Metroid Prime) and would jump all over this but no nunchuck for me.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
Exactly. While the Wii had a ton of crap shovelware there were plenty of good games for me.Joshua:

Re: Wii U Discussion
I got a Target gift card for Christmas and thinking about putting it towards a Wii U. My kids have one, but I want one of my own. I will never play the one the kids have because the room they play in isn't comfortable for me plus I don't want them coming along and jacking up my save files. I already have Pikmin 3 but never play it. If I have my own Wii U I'm sure I will play it a lot. Also, I love the gamepad. I figure I can fire up a game and play on the gamepad while my wife watches chick flicks.
I'm looking at getting these games:
Bayonetta 2
Mario Galaxy 2 download
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Smash Brothers
Xenoblade
Fire Emblem - I can't wait to play this on the gamepad
Any "must have" games? The kids already have Mario Kart 8 and Lego City Undercover.Last edited by longshadow11; 01-15-2015, 12:01 AM.Comment
