Never had that problem. Anything obstructing your Wii U? If I walk out of my living room I lose the signal to my gamepad.

There is direct line if sight between the two of about 8 feet. No idea what is going on.

Ah, well that does make sense even if I don't agree with it, lol. Good thing I still have a GBA SP, although I'd really like a 101 model that has the brighter backlight.

Bright backlight is pure gold. I was so lucky to pick up 1 in mint condition in the box last year for a very cheap price. It was hard to go back to my old sp after comparing them side by side, but for collector's purposes I won't get rid of it.

I love it. Honestly, though, get Lego City Undercover. Amazing Lego game. Makes something like the Lego Movie or even Marvel page in comparison. The open world of it is great.

Just know there is no co-op for Lego Undercover. It's a huge negative IMO and our family didn't care for the game much.

Wii U Discussion

Is anyone having issues with the gamepad randomly disconnecting while you're playing it within 10 feet of the TV? This has been going on for a month, and nothing has changed in my gaming area (or house for that matter) that should/could cause interference.

Ideas of what to do (fyi, I have a launch day Wii U Premium).

Had this same issue. It's a fairly common problem. I just sent my console and gamepad back to Nintendo as it's still under warranty. There isn't anything you can do to fix it on your own as far as I know.

How long of a turnaround did you get with it?

Like I said, mine is a launch unit, and this just started acting up really bad a couple weeks ago....so, it's well over a year old. Not looking forward to the possible cost of this one.

Dbeth, I just sent it in on Saturday. Nintendo said to expect 2 weeks to get it back. There is a possibility if it is the console that is bad, a refurbished console will be sent in return, losing my game saves. That would not be good. Hope it's just the gamepad.

I recently played through Super Metroid as I had never completed it before (shame on me) and I thought it was incredible. Still holds up really well.
