Re: Wii U Discussion
Yes, I have it on my Xbox One since it was free one month. I'm just excited that I get to play some games I haven't owned since Super Nintendo. I still remember how much I used to love Donkey Kong County 2. Also I need to show my son that all the Characters from Super Smash Bros are originally from other games and not vice versa."This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Re: Wii U Discussion
I liked most of what I played in Tropical Freeze, but stopped on the World 4 boss. Not a fan of any of the boss fights in that game combined with the underwater controls made me put it down for a few days and I never went back to it.
Soundtrack was excellent though. Just wish those boss fights were shorter or had a checkpoint between their 3 stages.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Who's getting Splatoon? I missed the Testfires but I've been watching YouTube vids and I'm super tempted.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
I still haven't decided yet. I really enjoyed the Testfire for Splatoon, but it seems pretty light on content for $60 at launch. I might wait until the free update in August, where the map count will more than double, two new modes, new weapons and clothes, and party matchmaking will be added.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
I didn't get to try the Testfires because I have not had time to play video games much for like a month with NBA and NHL playoffs but I am planning to get the game just looks to different and cool not to.

What didn't you like about the underwater controls? The boss on world 3 I think was awesome with the monkeys.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
Was able to score a Deluxe Edition with both games for $100 used this past weekend. Also found a new copy of Super Smash Bros for $40 and my son loves it. I really underestimated the usefulness of the game pad. He can play his Wii U while my wife or daughter watches tv or if I'm on the Xbox One. Next on the list is Mario kart 8. That along with the other games will keep his attention while I slowly build up on all the exclusives I've been missing with Xbox.
My list so far includes Captain Toad, Donkey Kong Tropical Breeze & Zelda Wind Walker. Are there any other games that my son and I would enjoy?Currently Playing:

Re: Wii U Discussion
I'm sad that this is only coming out in Europe next month; everyone else has to wait until later this year. Previews say by World 2, it gets much more demanding than Kirby's Epic Yarn and includes a Mellow Mode you can switch to during gameplay at anytime that gives Yoshi wings for those that find certain parts to difficult. In co-op one person can be playing on the default mode, while the other uses Mellow Mode.

Re: Wii U Discussion
Game looks good and seems like a lot of fun to play but man, the sounds that Yoshi makes is annoying.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
I made this comment on another forum:
I ended up playing Splatoon damn near all day yesterday. I can't really explain just how fun the game is. It just is. If it looks appealing to you, don't be afraid to take a chance. I don't know everyone's taste so I can't promise you'll like it too but I have no problem saying that there's a good chance you'll enjoy it.Comment
