Japanese store comes back the 6th, which probably means sometime tomorrow afternoon, for those with Japanese accounts.

Edit: I actually checked the press release, and everybody changed the date to the 6th. It comes back the 7th in Japan so it will be some time the afternoon of the 6th.

See, I've been trying to change my password for over a month now on that account, and it never has been working. I've been wondering if I was going to miss out on the Welcome Back Program since I wasn't able to change my password...

            Hopefully everything works out.

You've been able to change your password since PSN came back up a month ago, that's when I changed mine. The process won't change when the store comes back.

Well, my user account that used to have my Japanese account on it doesn't seem to recognize it anymore. This has been the case since I first had to rebuild the HDD database on my PS3. What I mean by this is, instead of the icon asking me to "Sign In," it says "Sign Up for PlayStation Network" or whatever.

So, I somehow arrived to the answer that I had to request a password change, which I got sent to my Yahoo e-mail address. I click on the link in my e-mail address, and it asks me to enter the CAPTCHA code that shows up on screen. After that, a screen comes up that says something like "The request timed out." It's been like this for a month.

Actually, I take that back... when I first tried this, it would say something about the page being unavailable due to site maintenance. But since then, it's been as it is now.

You do go to sign up for Playstation Network, but the next screen gives you the option of creating a new account or using an existing account. As long as it's the same PS3 and you remember your password, it should let you change it right there.

I didn't have to use the website to change mine, but I did have to recreate the account.

I've been in Colorado for the past week, I'll have to check it out when I get back today and run it through with you again. I think I tried something like that out on the PlayStation Network and it wasn't working, though.

Is PSN down for anybody else? I'm getting error code 80710016.

Anyone think maybe this has something to do with it finally getting back up and running in Japan?
