    Selling Consoles

    Hey OS fam,

I need a little help and guidance here... so I have

    --Sony PS3 120 GB/1 year old/MLB 11 The Show/2 controllers
    --Microsoft XBOX 360 Arcade Version/2.5 yrs old/2 controllers/few games

I also have the new XBOX 360 Slim that I play regularly and am going to keep, but I'm selling the two consoles and accessories above(^^^)... I'm looking to get cash for these consoles. Not really interested in store credit or reward points anywhere, what do you guys think is my best bet?

    Craigslist, pawn shops, etc..???

    TIA.

Craigslist = cash, but dealing with some interested buyers who can be ignorant or just a downright pain in the ***.

Ebay = will cost you to turn your Paypal reimbursement into cash.

I got a Paypal debit card. Just goto any Chase bank and it only costs a dollar per withdrawal.

I'd try Ebay or Craigslist. I sold my broken 360 with 120gb hard drive for $100. If you can't find any takers, I'd try a local used game store. I know one in my town that will pay around 40 for a red-ringed 360, without the hard drive.

They already forced people to give them their bank account numbers in order to continue their service. With any transactions with Paypal, I want as little involvement with them as possible. Plus, they are in bed now with BillMeLater, one of the insidious companies in this country imo. But I digress.

                    Re: Selling Consoles

Despite the PayPal complaints, I've had zero complaints with over 8 years service. Every time I've had an issue they've taken care of it.

Either way, eBay is your best bet.

Same here, PayPal has been awesome to me the last 11 years I've been using eBay and PayPal. A month ago I had a guy try and rip me off for $80 on there and PayPal gave me my money back and then went after the buyer. Over the summer I had a hacker steal $700+ out of my account and they refunded me all the money back within a week's time.

I used the Paypal debit card as my main source of spending for ages. It was hooked up to my bank account, got me cash back, could be used for POS purchases or at the First National Bank of Sheetz with no fee.

                          Re: Selling Consoles

However, unless there's been a change, outside of Ebay they will not completely guarantee a refund even though the accredited site uses them as an avenue to pay.
