So I am having a weird problem; My PS3 has recently been constantly (within a few minutes) disconnecting from the PSN and I am only having this issue using a wired connection.
After a few minutes I keep getting "An Ethernet Cable Has Been Disconnected" (or something a long those lines) and it kicks me off PSN before reconnecting me back immediately. My DNF percentile has sky rocketed because of this.
Now I have done all the usual processes of elimination:
-I have changed my Ethernet cable (bought a CAT 5 one recently).
-I bought a new router
-I got a new modem from my ISP
-My PS3 is in DMZ and I have disabled Media Server Connection.
-I have updated my router's firmware (DLINK 615)
-I have connected other devices through the same cable and it seems fine.
Now with wireless I have absolutely no problems, everything is smooth and since my router/modem are literally a foot away from my PS3 I dont have any slowdown with connection (its the same).
So please help me out guys! I am still old fashioned and prefer a wired connection, have any of you had this issue? What did you do?
Also if your router is literally a foot away, there shouldn't be any difference right?
Gracie!
