I both admire and ponder you guys amount of frivolous time you have who do this. It takes a good amount of time and effort to pack up your console, trade it in, get a new one, set it up, reinstall everything etc. Maybe I'm just picky about my stuff but I cannot rest until everything is tested, installed and working again.

Do you guys seriously reinstall everything or just what you are playing at the moment when you do this?

Maybe it's just that I'm lazy or something but that seems like too much work for me. I would like the Elite controller but I'd rather just wait for it to go on sale somewhere and buy it that way really.

I had sketchy consoles (as I've detailed lol), but I agree with you...I've had to re-download stuff, but for now I'm only downloading what I'll want to play now, so over time I can grab some older stuff.

I need the external drives which makes that moot to some extent....if you put all the games on that then you can transfer to new system by plugging in that drive.

Side question, could I copy a game from external to internal? Like so if I have something DL'ed on one Xbox at home I could just copy to other instead of forcing that to download forever?

Umm yea you are lazy...You do not have to even have a box to trade in..Put all in a plastic garbage bag...Drive to gamestop...Put it on the counter..They turn it on and see that it works and reformat it...Done $250 credit

They grab the elite scan it and you pay $265 for the diff and taxes or more depending on state and drive back home..

Open Elite bundle...Be in total aweee of the Elite controller and how it was all worth it

Turn on console sign in download games and enjoy gaming on a much better version of the xb1

All in about an hours worth

In general it wasn't too bad, you're right....the worst is re-downloading games, but if you have an External you're all set there.

I could have it re-update at home pretty fast, re-setup tv, etc. So worth it to have 2 working drives lol

Most of my games are on an external drive. I'll just copy some of them over. Didn't take any time at all.

Ok.. set for a while..
Grabbed Rise of The Tomb Raider and BB has sale now that when you buy ROTTR you get 25.00 off Madden, Forza, Halo and a couple others.
I grabbed Forza 6

With gcu it came to 80.54
Used remaining gift card balance of 43.20 which left me with 37.34 out of pocket.


ALSO: How does squaretrade work? I think I want to grab an extended warranty.

I have not gotten an update today, just checked my last update was 11/9. Is that the most up to date for us preview members?
